Production Manager - Shoe Unit

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to oversee daily operations in our footwear manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling production activities to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, on time, within quality standards, and in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily production activities for shoe manufacturing operations.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within timelines and budget.
• Monitor cutting, stitching, lasting, finishing, packing, and assembly processes.
• Coordinate with quality, maintenance, warehouse, and merchandising departments.
• Optimize manpower utilization and machine efficiency.
• Maintain production schedules and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.
• Monitor inventory of raw materials and coordinate with stores/purchase departments.
• Handle production-related issues and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Train and supervise production supervisors and workers.
• Maintain discipline and promote teamwork on the production floor.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree/Diploma in Production, Footwear Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in footwear/shoe manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of shoe production processes and machinery.
• Good leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage teams and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office and production reporting systems.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position in manufacturing unit/factory environment.
• May require extended working hours during peak production periods.
