Production Manager Compounding & Masterbatch

Qualification: Degree in Polymer Science, Polymer/Plastics Technology or related Engineering discipline. CIPET qualification preferred.

Experience: 1015 years in a reputed masterbatch manufacturing or polymer compounding company.

Requirements & Responsibilities

• Proven track record in developing and manufacturing polymer blends, alloys, compounds and masterbatches (MB).
• Strong knowledge of compounding polar and non-polar polymers, including compatibiliser selection and application, is essential.
• Expertise in colour, white, black, filler and additive masterbatches, including carrier resin selection, pigment dispersion and colour matching.
• Sound knowledge of polymer rheology, material compatibility and processing behaviour.
• Hands-on twin-screw compounding expertise is essential; experience with Coperion lines is preferred.
• Knowledge of screw configuration, feeding, dosing, temperature control, venting and pelletising.
• Lead formulation development, trials, process troubleshooting and quality control.
• Achieve production targets and KPIs, minimise scrap and deliver measurable cost savings.
• Manage production and technical teams and coordinate maintenance.
• Ensure workplace safety and compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 systems.
