Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Head to manage and oversee the complete production operations of a furniture manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have 510 years of relevant experience in the furniture industry with strong knowledge of production planning, manpower management, quality control, and factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the complete furniture production process from raw material to finished products.
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules as per orders and delivery timelines.
- Monitor production targets and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Manage production manpower, shifts, workflow, and team productivity.
- Coordinate with design, purchase, stores, sales, and dispatch teams for smooth operations.
- Ensure proper utilization of raw materials, machinery, manpower, and other resources.
- Monitor product quality and ensure production meets required standards.
- Identify production issues, bottlenecks, and delays and take corrective actions.
- Minimize material wastage, rework, rejection, and production costs.
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and production processes.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate with the stores/purchase team to ensure availability of required materials.
- Maintain production reports, records, and performance data.
- Train, guide, and motivate the production team to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure workplace safety, discipline, and proper housekeeping on the shop floor.
- Continuously improve production processes, productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- 5–10 years of experience in furniture manufacturing/production.
- Candidates from the same furniture industry will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of furniture production processes, materials, machinery, and finishing.
- Excellent manpower and team-handling skills.
- Strong production planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under production targets and deadlines.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Should be capable of independently handling the complete production function.
Salary: Negotiable based on experience and suitability.
