Position Overview:

The Production Head for the Refurbishment Unit will be responsible for leading and managing the entire production process, ensuring the efficient refurbishment of pre-owned two-wheelers in accordance with quality standards and timelines. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in production management, quality control, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning:

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet refurbishment targets.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of resources.

2. Quality Control:

• Establish and enforce quality control standards for the refurbishment process.
• Implement rigorous inspection processes to ensure the highest quality of refurbished products.

3. Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of technicians, mechanics, and support staff.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the production team.

4. Operational Efficiency:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround time.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to optimize production processes.

5. Inventory Management:

• Oversee inventory levels of spare parts and materials required for refurbishment.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of the required components.

6. Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the refurbishment unit.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

7. Training and Development:

• Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development within the production team.

• Conduct training sessions to enhance the technical capabilities of team members.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Proven minimum 10+ years of experience in production management, preferably in the automotive or refurbishment industry.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control processes and production efficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a production environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Required to travel to Coimbatore every 2 weeks.
