Brilliant Led is one of Nepal's leading lighting and electrical brands with manufacturing operations in Nepal and India. We are expanding our manufacturing capabilities and are seeking an experienced Production Head to lead our LED lighting manufacturing facility, drive operational excellence, improve productivity, and ensure world-class quality standards.

Position Summary

The Production Head will be responsible for the overall management of the manufacturing plant, including production planning, manpower management, productivity improvement, quality compliance, inventory control, process optimization, and on-time order fulfillment. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in manufacturing operations, and the ability to scale production efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production targets.
• Ensure timely execution of production plans and customer orders.
• Monitor plant capacity utilization and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure smooth coordination between Production, Planning, Procurement, Stores, Quality, and Sales teams.

Production Planning & Control

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and resources.
• Monitor production output against targets and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain production efficiency, line balancing, and workflow optimization.

Quality & Process Excellence

• Ensure compliance with product quality standards and specifications.
• Implement robust quality control systems throughout manufacturing processes.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Inventory & Material Management

• Coordinate with procurement and stores teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Minimize production losses arising from material shortages.
• Monitor production consumption against BOM standards.
• Improve inventory accuracy and reduce material wastage.

Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and develop production supervisors, engineers, and operators.
• Establish performance targets and KPIs for production teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Support workforce planning and recruitment requirements.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement safe manufacturing practices across the plant.
• Conduct regular safety audits and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Plant Performance & Reporting

• Track and report key manufacturing KPIs.
• Analyze production data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare management reports on productivity, quality, efficiency, downtime, and capacity utilization.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and manufacturing excellence programs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• MBA or Operations Management qualification preferred.
• 815 years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in LED lighting, electrical products, electronics assembly, consumer durables, or related manufacturing industries preferred.
