Role Description The Production Engineer will oversee day-to-day production activities for vacuum furnaces and related equipment, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and delivery standards. Responsibilities include monitoring manufacturing processes, coordinating with fabrication, machining, assembly, and testing teams, and troubleshooting issues to maintain smooth operations. The role involves optimizing workflows, implementing process improvements, supporting installation and commissioning requirements, and maintaining documentation and production reports. The Production Engineer will collaborate closely with design, R&D, and service teams to align production output with technical specifications and customer requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of production engineering, manufacturing processes, and industrial engineering principles.
- Experience with fabrication, machining, assembly, and testing of mechanical or industrial equipment.
- Understanding of vacuum technology, heat treatment processes, or furnace systems is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, technical documentation, and using basic CAD tools.
- Skills in process optimization, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, 5S).
- Ability to manage production schedules, coordinate resources, and meet quality and delivery targets.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a focus on safety and compliance.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to work with cross-functional engineering and operations teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in heavy engineering, heat treatment, or capital equipment manufacturing is an advantage.
