Position: Production Engineer - Fabrication

Experience: 4 to 5 Years

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Industry: Heavy Fabrication, Structural Fabrication, Process Equipment, Fabrication experience in thk start from 5mm and above

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Engineer to manage fabrication activities, ensuring production targets, quality requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved. The candidate should possess hands-on experience in fabrication processes and thorough knowledge of ASME and AWS standards.

Key Responsibilities :

1 )Plan, organize, and monitor fabrication activities as per production schedules.

2 )Ensure fabrication work is executed according to approved drawings, WPS, and customer specifications.

3) Monitor welding, cutting, fit-up, assembly, and fabrication processes. 4) Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII, ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1 and other applicable standards.

5 )Coordinate with Quality, Design, Planning, and Procurement departments for smooth production flow.

6) Review fabrication drawings, BOMs, and work orders before production release.

7) Monitor productivity, resource utilization, and production efficiency. 8) Conduct daily production meetings and track progress against targets.

9) Ensure welders and fitters follow approved welding procedures and quality requirements.

10) Support inspection activities including dimensional inspection, NDT, hydrotest, and final inspection.

11)Maintain production records, daily reports, and progress updates.

12) Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.

13) Good knowledge for SAP production entry in System

14) Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.

Required Technical Skills :

1) Knowledge of fabrication processes for pressure vessels, tanks, piping, and structural steel.

2) Good understanding of: ASME Section VIII ASME Section IX AWS D1.1

3) Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and GD&T.

4) Knowledge of welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and SAW.

5) Familiarity with NDT methods including VT, PT, MT.

6) Exposure to SAP systems and production planning tools.

7 )Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.

Qualifications :

1) Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.

4 to 5 years of experience in fabrication manufacturing, pressure vessel, process equipment, or structural fabrication industries. Preferred Competencies:
