Production Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day welding shop production and achieve production targets.
• Monitor welding processes, parameters, machines, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot welding defects and reduce rejection/rework.
• Improve productivity, cycle time, quality, and process efficiency.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Tooling teams.
• Prepare and maintain process documents, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of MIG/MAG, TIG, Spot/Resistance welding.
• Knowledge of welding fixtures, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Basic knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D, and problem-solving tools.
• Hands-on experience in weld shop/manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and troubleshooting skills.

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. – Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing
