Production And Purchase Manager

Employment Type: Full-time Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production and Purchase Manager to streamline our supply chain and manufacturing operations. In this role, you will bridge the gap between material acquisition, technical planning, and factory execution. You will be responsible for overseeing factory production timelines, managing material procurement, and ensuring seamless cross-departmental technical communication.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Follow-up & Factory Coordination

• Track daily factory operations to ensure production schedules align with delivery timelines.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing bottlenecks promptly to avoid delivery delays.
• Monitor quality control standards during the production phase.

2. Technical Information Management

• Collect, organize, and maintain up-to-date technical drawings, specifications, and data sheets.
• Translate and pass critical technical details smoothly to the factory floor and production teams.
• Ensure all product revisions or custom engineering requests are accurately implemented by production.

3. Strategic Procurement & Purchasing

• Source and purchase raw materials, mechanical parts, and electrical components based on project bills of materials (BOM).
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize costs.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels to prevent both stockouts and excess overhead.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the primary liaison between the technical team, factory & Management
• Align material procurement schedules with engineering design sign-offs.
• Update internal stakeholders regularly on material availability and production status.

Required Qualifications & Skills Experience & Education

• Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience in production planning, inventory control, or purchasing, ideally within the elevator, heavy machinery, or fabrication industry.

Language & Location Requirements

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Kannada is mandatory for daily factory and local vendor communication. Proficiency in other regional languages (e.g., Telugu, Tamil, or Hindi) is a distinct advantage.
• Workplace: Must be willing to work full-time out of our office/factory located in Peenya, Bangalore.
