As part of our IBM Cloud business, you will work closely with IBM, channel partners, system integrators, and enterprise customers to drive cloud modernization, migration, and consumption growth across India.

Key Purpose of the Job

We are looking for an experienced and business-focused IBM Cloud Specialist to lead end-to-end IBM Cloud presales engagements across India. The role involves designing cloud solutions, supporting technical sales cycles, conducting demonstrations and POCs, enabling partners, and driving cloud consumption and professional services opportunities.

The ideal candidate should possess strong cloud architecture expertise, customer-facing consulting experience, and the ability to independently manage complex technical opportunities.

Who We're Looking For

A hands-on cloud presales professional with expertise in IBM Cloud or hyperscale cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You should have strong solutioning capabilities, experience working with enterprise customers and partners, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.

Your Role

Cloud Presales & Solution Architecture

• Own IBM Cloud presales engagements across India.
• Understand customer business and technical requirements.
• Design secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-optimized cloud solutions.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical designs, and deployment recommendations.

Technical Solutioning & Proposal Support

• Prepare infrastructure sizing, cloud cost estimations, and BOQs.
• Develop technical proposals and support RFP/RFI responses.
• Recommend cloud migration and modernization strategies.

Customer Engagement & Demonstrations

• Conduct solution workshops and technical discussions.
• Deliver cloud demonstrations, assessments, and proof of concepts (POCs).
• Support workload migration and cloud adoption initiatives.

Partner & Internal Enablement

• Conduct technical training and enablement sessions.
• Support channel partners, system integrators, and regional sales teams.
• Organize webinars and technical awareness programs.

Business Development Support

• Assist sales teams in opportunity qualification and technical closure.
• Drive cloud consumption growth and workload expansion opportunities.
• Position IBM Cloud effectively against competing cloud platforms.

OEM Collaboration

• Work closely with IBM Cloud architects and technical specialists.
• Engage OEM teams for solution validation, escalations, and complex architectures.
• Ensure alignment with IBM cloud best practices and offerings.

Required Qualifications

• 8-12 years of overall enterprise IT experience.
• 4-5 years of experience in Cloud Presales, Cloud Architecture, or Cloud Consulting.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Cloud or leading hyperscale cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in cloud architecture design and customer-facing solutioning.
• Experience in cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives.
• Knowledge of cloud security, containers, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience engaging with OEMs, partners, SIs, and enterprise customers.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple opportunities across geographies.
• IBM Cloud Certifications or equivalent Cloud Architecture certifications are preferred.
