The role The Business Analyst for Digital Factory Operating System (DFOS) and Manufacturing Data Collection Systems (MDCS) will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital solutions that enable connected, data driven, and high performing manufacturing operations. The role focuses on gathering requirements, mapping processes, coordinating with technical teams, and ensuring successful deployment of factory level digital applications across global sites. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing process understanding, hands on experience with digital factory or data collection systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with operations, engineering, IT, and vendor teams.
What you'll be responsible for Requirements & Process Analysis • Gather and document business requirements, analyze manufacturing processes, and identify opportunities to improve digital factory operations and data management. Solution Design & Implementation • Collaborate with technical and business teams to design, configure, implement, and support DFOS and MDCS solutions, including data mapping and site deployments. Testing & Quality Assurance • Develop and execute testing activities, manage defect resolution, and ensure solutions meet business and operational requirements before go-live. Stakeholder Management & Change Enablement • Partner with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to gather requirements, facilitate workshops, and support user adoption and change management initiatives. Operations & Support • Provide ongoing application support, troubleshoot issues, monitor system performance and data quality, and maintain documentation and knowledge repositories. Digital Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement • Support integration between digital factory systems and enterprise platforms while driving automation, analytics, process optimization, and data-driven improvements across manufacturing operations. Required Qualifications & Experience • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, or a related field, with experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in manufacturing, MES, digital factory, or data collection environments. • Understanding of manufacturing operations, shop-floor processes, IIoT technologies, industrial data collection, and Industry 4.0 solutions. • Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, user stories, test cases, and business documentation. • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams. Desired Skills • Experience with digital factory platforms, IIoT architectures, OEE, predictive maintenance, digital twins, and real-time analytics. • Exposure to MES/ERP integrations, large-scale digital transformation programs, and multi-site manufacturing deployments.
