About The Role The Product Manager for AI at GE Vernova is a pivotal role responsible for the end-to-end development and management of AI-powered products that drive operational excellence and innovation across the organization. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams—including business units, engineering, research, and external suppliers—to identify opportunities where AI can deliver measurable value aligned with the Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost framework. The Product Manager will play a key role in translating complex technical solutions into strategic business initiatives, ensuring that AI applications meet user needs and organizational goals. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in AI and data analytics, capable of managing multiple projects and stakeholders. The role also involves overseeing third-party AI solutions, ensuring seamless integration, and assessing technological fit. As part of GE Vernova’s commitment to advancing energy transition technologies, this role contributes to research and development efforts aimed at creating next-generation energy solutions that are sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 10-15 years of relevant experience in product management, AI, or related domains. Experience within GE or GE Vernova is highly preferred. Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and complex projects is essential. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders, including C-suite executives. Strong technical proficiency in building and deploying AI applications, coupled with a data-driven mindset, is required. The candidate must demonstrate problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate technical challenges into strategic opportunities. Business acumen to align AI initiatives with organizational goals and a willingness to work out of the Bangalore office are also necessary.

Responsibilities

• Product Ownership and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, engineering, and research, to develop and execute product roadmaps that align with strategic objectives.
• Roadmap Input: Provide strategic input to build comprehensive product roadmaps in partnership with the Portfolio Manager, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, IT teams, and designers to develop robust AI solutions, maintaining technical rigor and implementing verification methods to assess success and mitigate risks.
• User Experience: Focus on delivering exceptional user experiences by understanding user needs, providing solutions that are intuitive and impactful.
• Cross-Business Coordination: Support the integration of AI applications across different business units to foster innovation and operational improvements.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytics to monitor product performance, define key metrics and KPIs, and make informed decisions to optimize AI initiatives.
• Post-Launch Support: Monitor AI product performance post-deployment, gather user feedback, and iterate on features to maximize value and impact.
• Third-Party Solutions: Oversee the integration of AI solutions from external vendors, evaluating technology fit and ensuring seamless deployment within existing systems.
