About a minute. You'll make an account on the way through.

    About this role

We are looking for a Product Manager with 3-7 years of experience who will own the customer-facing demand engine at First Club. You will be responsible for understanding what customers want, when they want it, why they choose to buy, and how we can drive higher frequency, conversion, basket size, and retention.

This role will work closely with Growth, Category, Merchandising, Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, and Engineering teams to build products and systems that translate customer demand into business growth. This is a high-ownership role where you will have the opportunity to shape the product experience and build the demand-side foundation for a rapidly scaling retail business.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

    Own the Demand Product Roadmap:

    • Define and own the roadmap for demand-side products and customer journeys.
    • Identify opportunities across the funnel: acquisition, discovery, consideration, conversion, repeat, and retention.
    • Translate business problems and customer insights into clear product requirements.
    • Prioritize initiatives based on customer impact, business value, and execution complexity.

    Drive Customer Discovery and Conversion:

    • Improve how customers discover products and categories on the FirstClub app.
    • Own product experiences around search, browse, recommendations, merchandising, personalization, and discovery.
    • Identify friction points across the customer journey and build solutions to improve conversion.
    • Develop experiences that help customers discover better-quality products and understand why FirstClub recommends them.

    Build Personalization and Recommendations:

    • Build and evolve personalized experiences based on customer behavior, preferences, purchase history, and context.
    • Partner with Data Science and ML teams to improve recommendation systems.
    • Develop relevant products and categories and offer recommendations.
    • Build contextual experiences based on factors such as time, location, occasion, basket, and customer lifecycle stage.

Drive Frequency, Basket Size, and Retention:

    • Identify product opportunities that increase customer frequency and lifetime value.
    • Build experiences to improve repeat purchase, cross-sell, upsell, and basket expansion.
    • Develop solutions around replenishment, subscriptions, reminders, recommendations, and relevant nudges.
    • Understand customer cohorts and identify opportunities to move customers from occasional to habitual usage.

    Demand Forecasting and Customer Intent:

    • Work closely with supply chain and data teams to translate customer demand signals into actionable insights.
    • Build products that capture and predict customer intent.
    • Identify emerging demand patterns across customers, categories, SKUs, locations, and time periods.
    • Improve the connection between customer demand and product availability.

    Pricing, Promotions, and Offers:

    • Partner with Category, Growth, and Business teams on demand-side pricing and promotion products.
    • Build frameworks to understand price sensitivity and promotional effectiveness.
    • Improve targeting and personalization of offers.
    • Ensure promotions drive incremental demand rather than simply subsidizing existing demand.

    Customer Experience and Trust:

    • Build product experiences that reinforce FirstClub's promise of trust, quality, and value.
    • Make product information, quality attributes, sourcing, and recommendations easy for customers to understand.
    • Identify and solve customer pain points across the shopping journey.
    • Use customer feedback and behavioral data to continuously improve the product.

    Analytics and Experimentation:

    • Define product metrics and dashboards to measure impact.
    • Run structured A/B tests and experiments to validate hypotheses.
    • Analyze customer behavior and funnel performance to identify opportunities.
    • Build a strong culture of data-driven product decisions.

    Requirements:

    • 3-7 years of experience in product management, preferably in consumer internet, e-commerce, quick commerce, retail, marketplaces, or consumer technology.
    • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and demand-side products.
    • Experience building products involving search, discovery, recommendations, personalization, growth, or conversion is highly preferred.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work comfortably with data and translate insights into product decisions.
    • Strong understanding of product metrics, experimentation, and A/B testing.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, data, business, marketing, and operations teams.
    • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    Good to Have:

    • Experience in e-commerce, quick commerce, retail, or D2C.
    • Experience working with recommendation engines, search, or personalization.
    • Exposure to ML/AI-powered consumer products.
    • Experience with pricing, promotions, or growth products.
    • Experience building products from 0 → 1 or scaling them rapidly.
