Quick context on what we do

Everything in India's lending stack is built for the lender. DSAs source for them, tech platforms power them, collection agencies and recovery tech recover for them, even credit score and similar consumer apps mostly exist to cross-sell loans. Nobody is on the borrower's side. That's what we're building at Credfix - an AI-first debt management and resolution platform.

Right now we're focused on distressed borrowers (50M+ Indians stuck in debt stress with no structured way out), helping them understand, navigate, negotiate and resolve overdue loans. That's the wedge. Long term we want to be the product every borrower uses to manage their debt, not just escape it.

We're a Bangalore-based, seed-funded startup backed by Tanglin Venture Partners, Stargazer Fund, and K2 Capital, founded by former operators from udaan.

The role

Product Manager (Founding Team)

What the job actually is

• You'll be one of the first few members of the product team, building the function from scratch. Everything product sits with this team — the roadmap, specs, what we build, what we ship, and when.
• Getting this wedge to PMF. Activation, retention, monetization are your numbers
• You'll be building a product category that barely exists today figuring out how to make debt management simple, accessible and genuinely useful for millions of borrowers who have never had a product built for them.
• Talking to borrowers. A lot. On WhatsApp, on calls, sometimes in person. Our users are stressed and skeptical, and you can't build for them from a dashboard
• Figuring out our conversational/AI product surface - where AI actually helps vs where it's a gimmick
• Using a mix of user conversations, data and first-principles thinking to decide what to build next. There won't always be a playbook or someone telling you what the right answer is.
• Shipping every week with a small engineering team. This is a hands-on IC role for at least the first year - you'll be writing specs, making trade-offs, reviewing builds and getting things into users hands.
• Later: building out the product team as we scale past resolution into full debt management

Who fits

• 3-5 years building mass market successful consumer products at scale, and must have taken something 0 to 1 themselves - idea to launch to real traction. Not someone who inherited a mature roadmap. Scrappy by default.
• Fintech/lending background is a bonus, not a requirement. Same for conversational products.
