About this role
Lumenci is building and scaling an agentic AI platform (iLumos) with a suite of internal B2B products focused on patent analysis and legal workflows. As we transition from proof-of-concept to production deployment, we need a Product Manager who can drive disciplined execution while navigating the unique challenges of AI-powered systems. This role sits at the intersection of LLMs, workflow automation, and specialized legal/IP domain knowledge - ideal for someone who wants to shape how AI delivers real value in complex professional workflows.
Responsibilities And Duties
Lumenci is the technology industry's most strategic legal assets monetization partner. We work with the world's top technology companies, law firms, inventors, deep tech start-ups, and specialty funds to find the value in their inventions and legal assets and help them pursue—and defend—that value throughout the monetization lifecycle. We work with a wide variety of technologies including hardware and software, telecom, networking, and semiconductor technologies. Lumenci combines technology domain expertise with strategic industry connections to guide towards the best route to ROI. From ideation to monetization -- we illuminate the way.

- Translate user stories and technical requirements into clear PRDs, epics, and acceptance criteria
- Maintain delivery momentum across internal engineering teams and external partners
- AI Product Development
- Prototype and validate agentic workflows alongside AI engineers and domain experts
- Test LLM outputs for reliability, accuracy, and domain-specific quality (e.g., patent claim analysis, prior art mapping)
- Design evaluation frameworks to measure agent performance against user expectations
- Problem-Solving & Quality
- Apply structured thinking (5 Whys, root-cause analysis) to diagnose feature gaps and system failures
- Balance speed with quality—know when to ship fast vs. when to validate deeply
- Track metrics that matter users onboarded, feature adoption, user satisfaction.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Build scalable product documentation: decision logs, workflow diagrams, onboarding guides
- Ensure alignment between strategic goals (OKRs) and day-to-day execution
- Create transparency for stakeholders on progress, blockers, and trade-offs
- Core Product Skills
- 2-3 years in product management or related roles
- Strong understanding of agile/lean product development
- Proven ability to move from ambiguous problems to shipped features
- Experience writing clear requirements that engineers can act on immediately
- AI/LLM Familiarity
- Working knowledge of how LLMs behave in production (hallucinations, prompt sensitivity, latency)
- Exposure to RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) workflows or vector search concepts
- Hands-on curiosity: comfortable testing prompts, evaluating agent outputs, or light vibe coding
- Bonus: Understanding of evaluation metrics for LLM quality (precision, recall, human-in-the-loop)
- Startup Mindset
- Thrives in lean, high-ownership environments with evolving priorities
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and solving problems outside traditional PM scope
- Energized by rapid learning curves and cross-functional collaboration
- Bias toward action—ships incrementally rather than waiting for perfection
- Communication & Collaboration
- Works effectively with AI engineers, backend developers, domain experts, and external vendors
- Communicates decisions clearly with supporting rationale (written and verbal)
- Actively listens to user feedback and translates it into actionable insights
- Domain Knowledge (Nice to Have)
- Familiarity with intellectual property, patent law, or legal workflows
- Understanding of patent invalidation strategies (novelty, obviousness, etc.) and Infringement analysis
- Background in legal tech, IP, or other specialized B2B domains
- Solve for the Customer: Lumenci is a customer-first company, with the focus to create a long-term relationship with our clients. Customers here include internal employees and candidates who are part of the recruitment process.
- Quality, Ownership and Accountability: We are passionate about results and take full ownership of our work. We are performance oriented and have a drive for excellence.
- Collaboration: We encourage collaboration over competition, work in small teams and believe that teams do better than individuals.
- Growth Mindset: We are adaptable to changing requirements and needs of a dynamic high growth company. We encourage each other to take diverse initiatives and develop new competencies.
- Enjoy building AI products from 0→1 and beyond
- Are intellectually curious about how agent systems work (and where they fail)
- Value tight feedback loops between users, engineering, and product decisions
- Want to work on products that combine cutting-edge AI with real-world expertise
- Are comfortable with ambiguity but bring structure to chaos
