Product Manager – UPI (Consumer) to own something massive: the entire consumer UPI experience, from the moment someone creates a VPA to the moment a recurring mandate quietly settles in the background at 2am.

Why this role is genuinely rare: UPI is the biggest payment rail in the world by volume. And right now, we're building our consumer UPI stack from the ground up — scheme certifications, dispute infrastructure, credit-on-UPI, all live priorities, all up for grabs. Whoever joins doesn't inherit a roadmap.

You write it. This is a high-ownership IC role. No team to delegate upward to. No existing playbook that covers everything you'll hit. Just full accountability for how a user onboards, how a mandate settles, how a dispute resolves — and the freedom to actually fix it, not just spec it.

What you'll own:

• The full TPAP surface — P2P, P2M, mandates, UPI Lite, RuPay Credit Card on UPI, Credit Line on UPI, UPI One World
• Consumer journeys end-to-end — onboarding, VPA creation, account linking, KYC
• BBPS bill payments, spend analytics, and transaction history surfaces
• The dispute and chargeback framework — raise flows, triage, PSP/NPCI reconciliation, SLAs
• Fraud decisioning hooks — velocity checks, device signals, step-up auth
• The entire NPCI certification lifecycle, as a product function you drive

What we need from you:

• 5+ years of PM experience, meaningfully rooted in payments or financial services
• You've actually shipped consumer-facing UPI products — you know what broke, what worked, and why
• Deep, real knowledge of NPCI's UPI scheme — VPA architecture, TPAP/PSP mechanics, mandates, UPI 2.0
• You read NPCI circulars and know what to do next, without a translator
• Comfortable with API contracts, event-driven systems, and data models — you don't write the code, but you understand its constraints
• PRDs and memos that are decision-ready, not draft-ready
• A track record of owning outcomes — metrics that moved because you moved them

Bonus points for: NPCI certification/UAT experience, dispute & chargeback management background, reconciliation/ledger exposure, fraud & risk decisioning experience, or startup scars where scope was earned, not handed to you.
