About this role
Role Overview :
Own the strategy, growth and profitability of Sintexs SMC electrical enclosure portfolio across utility, LT distribution, solar, EV, telecom and infrastructure applications. Translate customer and tender requirements into market-ready products by partnering with R&D, tooling, manufacturing, quality and sales teams. Drive product approvals, launches, market share and margins, with strong understanding of both SMC technical specifications and DISCOM/EPC commercial requirements.
Role & responsibilities
- Develop product strategy, roadmap and portfolio for SMC electrical enclosures, meter boxes, LT distribution boxes, feeder pillars, FRP fencing, cable trays/ladders and related products.
- Identify new opportunities across Solar, EV, Telecom and Street Lighting applications.
- Lead NPD from concept to commercialization, including customer requirements, design, tooling, prototypes, testing and approvals.
- Drive market research, competitor benchmarking and customer engagement with DISCOMs, utilities, EPCs, OEMs, consultants and PSUs.
- Own pricing, margins, business cases, cost optimization and SKU rationalization.
- Drive product approvals, tender specifications, GTM strategy and product launches.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS/IEC standards, certifications and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, Tooling, Procurement, Quality and Finance to deliver products within timelines, cost and quality targets.
Preferred candidate profile
Technical Knowledge -
- SMC/BMC compression moulding process, tooling, material properties and their effect on product cost and quality.
- Electrical Distribution and Metering applications, Installation practices and field conditions in India.
- Electrical Distribution Products and Solutions, Substation and Transmission Projects
- Relevant standards: IS/IEC 62208, IP and IK ratings, fire, UV and weathering tests, and utility specifications.
- Reading and reviewing engineering drawings, BOMs and test reports.
- Auto CAD or Design software knowledge and skills will be preferred
