About this role
Product Manager: Growth and Guest Experience
Location: Mumbai, full time, in office
Experience: 3 to 5 years
About the role
You will help us answer a question we care about deeply: how do we use technology to make Hunger Inc. more loved, more connected and more scalable? You will think with the founders about guest relationships, community, loyalty, CRM, customer journeys and AI, and turn the best ideas into products that guests love and teams use.
What You'll Own
1. Create our community and loyalty ecosystem
We're exploring what a connected community and loyalty programme could look like across Hunger Inc. But we don't believe loyalty should begin and end with points and discounts. We believe it starts with recognition, trust, generosity, access and belonging. You'll help design, prototype and launch experiences that bring this philosophy to life. That could mean cross-brand discoveries, personalised gestures, special access, community experiences or rewards that feel genuinely meaningful. Your responsibility will be to translate these ideas into a product roadmap, work with engineering to bring them to life and measure whether they actually strengthen customer relationships.
2. Drive measurable growth through experimentation
You'll identify opportunities across customer acquisition, conversion, retention, repeat purchase frequency and lifetime value. Establish baselines, develop hypotheses, run experiments and measure results. You'll also explore how AI can accelerate product discovery, customer analysis, experimentation and prototyping. We want someone who can connect customer insights to commercial outcomes, not just produce interesting dashboards.
3. Supercharge our AI-led CRM
We already use SuperLeap, an AI-native CRM platform. Your challenge is to unlock more of its potential. Work with our teams and technology partners to connect customer information, understand behaviour, build meaningful segments and develop intelligent customer journeys. Think lifecycle marketing, automated engagement, customer retention, repeat purchases, personalised recommendations and identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships. We don't want a CRM that simply stores customer information. We want one that helps us understand what customers love, why they return and how we can serve them better.
4. Build a connected understanding of our customers
Our customers interact with us through Shopify, restaurant reservations, POS systems, gifting enquiries, customer service, WhatsApp and multiple other channels. Today, much of that information lives in different places. You'll help define the product strategy for a connected customer intelligence platform, working with engineering to establish customer identities, useful profiles and a clearer understanding of behaviour across brands. The ambition is to move beyond transactions and develop a meaningful understanding of our guests, with appropriate consent and privacy protections.
What youll bring
35 years of experience in product management, growth product, consumer technology, e-commerce or a related discipline. A conventional product management background isn't mandatory, but you should have demonstrated ownership of a product or feature that real customers have used.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of product discovery, user research, product roadmaps, PRDs, prioritisation and experimentation.
- Hands-on analytical ability, including SQL, spreadsheets, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, retention metrics and customer segmentation.
- Experience taking products or features from identifying a problem through launch, adoption and measuring outcomes.
- Understanding of APIs, customer data architecture and technical integrations sufficient to collaborate effectively with engineers.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, customer journeys, lifecycle marketing and growth experimentation.
- Practical experience using AI tools for research, analysis, prototyping or product development.
- Strong written communication and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear requirements.
- Comfort working directly with operational teams and customers rather than relying entirely on dashboards.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Shopify, SuperLeap or comparable CRM/CDP platforms.
- Familiarity with Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA4, Metabase or similar analytics platforms.
- Experience building loyalty, membership, community or customer retention products.
- Understanding of customer identity resolution, data privacy and personalisation.
- Experience in D2C, consumer brands, hospitality, retail or marketplaces.
- Ability to build functional prototypes using AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience working in a founder-led business or small cross-functional product team.
What success looks like
You've helped us build a more connected understanding of our customers, unlocked meaningful capabilities within our CRM, and launched customer experiences that improve engagement, retention or repeat behaviour. You can demonstrate what changed, why it changed and what we learned.
What this role is not
This isn't a traditional marketing role where you manage campaigns and content calendars. It isn't a role where you write PRDs, hand them to engineering and move on. And it isn't about launching a loyalty programme simply because every other brand has one. We want someone who takes responsibility for identifying the right problems, building the right experiences and understanding whether they actually worked.
We're looking for someone who wants to engineer better customer relationships, not just manage customer databases.
