Job Description Product Manager — Credit & Lending Platform Focus: Cards & Credit Line on UPI
- Platform ownership + bank/fintech solutioning & delivery
Company Introduction Falcon is a Series-A funded, cloud-native, AI-first banking technology & processing platform that helps banks, NBFCs, and PPIs quickly and affordably launch next-gen financial products, such as credit cards, credit line on UPI, prepaid cards, fixed deposits, and loans. Since our 2022 launch, we’ve processed USD 1.5Bn+ in transactions, signed on 12 of India’s top financial institutions, and clocked USD 15Mn+ in revenue. Our company is backed by marquee investors from around the world, including heavyweight investors from Japan and the USA, as well as leading Indian ventures and banks.
About The Role As a Product Manager on our Credit & Lending Platform, you will
own a product area across our credit card and Credit Line on UPI (CL-on-UPI) stack — and the portfolio of partner-bank programs that run on it — from strategy and roadmap through configuration, solutioning, and launch. You won’t just implement against existing capability; you’ll decide what capability we build, where we configure versus extend, and how your area scales across every tenant on our multi-tenant platform. The role sits at the intersection of platform product management, customer solutioning, and product experience. You’ll set the direction for reusable capabilities with engineering, own the senior relationship with banks on translating their needs into the platform, and be accountable for the outcomes and KPIs of your area — not just the delivery of individual programs. We work AI-first. You are expected to treat AI as a core part of how you operate — using it to research markets and customers, draft requirements and documentation, prototype solutions, and build agents and automations that multiply your impact across banks and product lines.
Your Responsibilities & Impact
- Own a product area end-to-end — set the strategy, roadmap, and prioritisation for a slice of the Credit & Lending platform (e.g., a Credit Core module, card programs, or CL-on-UPI) and the bank programs that depend on it, balancing user impact, business value, and technical feasibility.
- Own the build-vs-configure and buy-vs-build calls — decide when a bank ask is solved through configuration and middleware adapters versus net-new platform capability, and make the case to invest where a genuine capability gap exists.
- Drive platform-level initiatives — own reusable components, APIs, event contracts, and configuration surfaces for your area so they serve multiple banks and product use cases, not one-off tenant branches.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of credit card and CL-on-UPI programs for partner banks — from requirement gathering and solution design through configuration, testing, and launch — and unblock the team executing them.
- Author PRDs and contracts — convert user needs and data insights into clear requirements, API/event contracts, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and set the quality bar for requirements in your area.
- Work AI-first — leverage AI across your workflow to research banks, products, and competitors; draft requirements and documentation; prototype flows; and build AI agents and automations that accelerate solutioning and delivery at scale.
- Partner with engineering as a peer to define scalable, extensible, multi-tenant solutions, keeping long-term platform capabilities and integrations in mind, and make scope/sequencing trade-offs explicitly (what ships now vs. what’s deferred).
- Own senior stakeholder relationships with partner banks and internal teams; gather and synthesise feedback from banks, support channels, and user interviews into a coherent direction.
- Own the metrics for your area — define and track the product, implementation, and adoption KPIs that matter, analyse data and market trends, and turn insights into roadmap decisions.
- Partner with design to ensure usable, intuitive experiences across internal tooling and external bank/customer-facing configuration and onboarding surfaces; create, review, and critique wireframes and prototypes.
- Represent your area in product and architecture reviews — prepare and present findings, recommendations, and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
- Mentor and uplevel Associate PMs and cross-functional partners, and help raise the bar on documentation, requirements precision, and execution discipline.
- Monitor competitor offerings and industry trends to inform product decisions and positioning.
- Stay informed about — and design for — relevant regulatory and compliance considerations (e.g. RBI / NPCI) that affect credit, card, and UPI-credit features.
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have
- A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field (a postgraduate degree / MBA is a plus), ideally from a tier-1 institute such as the IITs, top NITs, BITS, NSIT, DTU, IIMs, FMS, XIMB, ISB, etc.
- 4–6 years of overall experience, with a meaningful portion in product management, and the maturity to own a product area independently — ideally with exposure to business analysis, implementation/solutioning, consulting, operations, or analytics alongside it.
- Domain depth in financial products such as credit cards, credit lines (including UPI-based credit / CL-on-UPI), lending, or payments (cards/wallets/etc.) — strongly preferred at this level.
- Platform thinking — solid grasp of APIs, backend systems, scalability, integrations, and reusable, multi-tenant architectures, and the judgement to keep bank-specific logic out of the core.
- AI fluency — hands-on use of AI tools (LLMs, copilots, agent frameworks) to research, write requirements, analyse data, and prototype; bonus for having built AI agents, automations, or AI-powered product features.
- UX sensibility — the ability to create, review, and critique design prototypes to optimise the user experience.
- Hands-on flow and wireframing comfort — sketching product flows and wireframes on paper, in PowerPoint, or in tools like Draw.io, Whimsical, Figma, Balsamiq, or Axure.
- User research instinct — the ability to conduct user and stakeholder research and arrive at the best possible interaction design.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to drive alignment across engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to translate feedback and data into actionable product direction.
- Attention to detail in documentation, analysis, and execution.
- Strong ownership, prioritisation, and trade-off skills in a fast-paced environment.
What We Can Offer You
- Ample opportunities for professional growth, with the chance to tackle new and exciting challenges.
- Collaboration with the best talent in the product and engineering domains.
- An annual learning and development budget to invest in your continuous growth.
- Comprehensive medical insurance coverage for you and your family.
- A hybrid work policy that provides flexibility to work from the office and remotely.
