Product Manager- Cards

Role & responsibilities

Own the strategy, roadmap, P&L, and end-to-end execution of the Cards product and Card Management System (CMS) across RuPay, Visa, Mastercard, and other payment networks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Growth

• Own product vision, roadmap, CVP, GTM, and P&L.
• Identify customer, market, and competitive opportunities.
• Drive acquisition, activation, engagement, and portfolio growth.
• Develop new propositions, features, offers, and product variants.

2. Cards & Payments

• Manage end-to-end card journeys across POS, e-commerce, ATM, contactless, tokenization, wallets, and UPI on Credit Card.
• Improve authorization, transaction processing, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Drive new payment capabilities and product enhancements.

3. Risk & Portfolio

• Partner with Risk/Credit teams on policy, underwriting, fraud, and portfolio management.
• Monitor fraud, chargebacks, disputes, declines, and portfolio health.
• Drive improvements in customer selection, onboarding, and portfolio performance.

4. Customer & Product Experience

• Own the customer journey from acquisition to servicing and lifecycle management.
• Drive customer experience, rewards, privileges, campaigns, and retention.
• Use analytics and customer insights to improve conversion and engagement.

5. Automation & Analytics

• Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention and operational risks.
• Drive automation and STP across processes, reconciliation, MIS, and reporting.
• Leverage data and dashboards for product and business decisions.

6. Partnerships & Stakeholder Management

• Manage relationships with RuPay/NPCI, Visa, Mastercard, PSPs, payment gateways, fintechs, and acquiring partners.
• Drive partnerships, certifications, issue resolution, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Analytics, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service.
