Product Incharge

Responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, manpower, production planning, productivity, quality coordination, and ensuring timely manufacturing as per customer requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise daily production activities according to production schedules.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within defined timelines.
• Allocate manpower and resources effectively across production activities.
• Monitor machine utilization, production efficiency, and downtime.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure production is carried out according to approved specifications and processes.
• Coordinate with Quality Control to maintain required quality standards.
• Monitor rejection, rework, wastage, and material utilization.
• Implement measures to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Maintain production records, reports, and daily MIS.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and company policies.
• Train and guide production staff and operators.
• Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Quality, Planning, and Dispatch teams.
• Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective actions.
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience:

• 5-15 years of experience in production/manufacturing.
• Relevant experience in the plastics manufacturing industry is required/preferred.
• Experience in handling production teams, machinery, manpower, and shop-floor operations.
• Experience in production planning, productivity improvement, and quality coordination.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant field.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of production planning and shop-floor management.
• Practical knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes and production operations.
• Good manpower handling and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of quality and safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Knowledge of ERP/MIS systems will be an advantage.
• Ability to work under production targets and time constraints.
