Product Developer, Salesforce

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Developer, Salesforce based in India.

We are seeking a skilled Salesforce developer to build, enhance, and maintain innovative products, reusable assets, and tools that support enterprise technology solutions. In this role, you will combine hands-on Salesforce development with modern AI-assisted engineering practices to deliver scalable, high-quality applications. You will work extensively with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flow, and emerging Agentforce capabilities. Collaborating with product owners, architects, and engineering teams, you will turn business requirements into practical solutions throughout the software development lifecycle. Accountabilities:: Salesforce Product Development: Develop, enhance, and support new and existing Salesforce products, reusable assets, and strategic tools that improve the delivery of Salesforce solutions.

Custom Application Development: Build and maintain Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flow, Console, and other relevant platform capabilities.

AI-Assisted Engineering: Use AI development tools, including Claude and Codex, to improve coding efficiency, accelerate development tasks, and support effective engineering practices.

Solution Design and Prototyping: Participate in technical design, proofs of concept, and solution validation, ensuring proposed approaches meet business requirements and align with Salesforce best practices.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Execute unit testing for assigned development tasks, identify and resolve defects, and ensure the reliability, maintainability, and performance of delivered solutions.

Full Software Development Lifecycle: Contribute to all stages of product development, from ideation and planning through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing product improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, product engineering leads, technical architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable, value-driven solutions.

Code Reviews and Technical Documentation: Participate in code reviews, peer inspections, and technical design discussions. Maintain clear specifications and documentation to support consistent development standards.

Integration Development: Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems, ensuring reliable data exchange and effective interoperability.

Product Planning and Prioritization: Collaborate with the wider product team to assess market needs, refine and prioritize work, and align on solution designs that support business objectives.

Continuous Learning and Platform Improvement: Stay current with Salesforce releases, new platform capabilities, AI-driven development practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve product quality and delivery.

Requirements:

Professional Experience: At least four years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, with a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, platform capabilities, and technical constraints.

Salesforce Development: Strong proficiency in Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC), with the ability to develop maintainable, scalable, and high-quality custom solutions.

Programming Fundamentals: Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, software design patterns, and good development practices.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification or background.

Salesforce Architecture: Ability to evaluate Salesforce platform capabilities and design solutions that balance functionality, scalability, performance, and maintainability.

System Integrations: Experience developing and maintaining integrations between Salesforce and external applications or services.

Development Lifecycle and DevOps: Practical experience with Salesforce DX, source control, CI/CD processes, and modern software development workflows.

AI Development Tools: Willingness and ability to use AI-assisted development tools effectively to improve productivity and support technical problem-solving.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and implementation approaches.

Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work constructively with product, engineering, and architecture teams in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Front-End Skills: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.

Preferred Agentforce Experience: Experience with Salesforce Agentforce solutions or other AI-powered Salesforce capabilities is an advantage.

Additional Salesforce Expertise: Familiarity with Service Cloud and Service Cloud Voice is beneficial.

Related Technology Experience: Experience developing digital-channel or contact-center applications is a plus, as is exposure to AWS development.

Packaging Knowledge: Familiarity with Salesforce packaging processes is beneficial.
