About this role
About the Role We’re looking for a thoughtful, structured and execution-focused
Product Designer (UX) to join Doerscircle’s Product & Technology team. Doerscircle is building a platform for independent professionals and the organisations that hire, engage and manage them. As our platform grows, we’re looking for someone who can turn complex product and business problems into experiences that feel simple, intuitive and beautifully designed. This is a hands-on product design role. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, QA and Data, taking problems from early exploration and user flows through to polished UI, developer handoff and what ultimately gets shipped. We’re looking for someone with
strong UX and product thinking, an excellent eye for design and visual detail, and a strong understanding of what makes a digital experience feel polished and intuitive . You should be equally comfortable thinking through how something works and obsessing over how well it is executed.
The Position You’ll be part of our fast-growing commercial team – and working closely with the entire team of Doerscircle. This role involves working closely with our product development and marketing teams to design and improve our digital products and promotional materials. Ideally, you have experience with marketplace design, optimizing for revenue generation and conversions, and significantly improving the user experience journey.
Your Responsibilities
- Own UX for product features across Doerscircle’s talent, workforce and member experiences.
- Translate product requirements and business problems into clear user journeys, information architecture, flows, wireframes and high-fidelity designs.
- Explore and communicate solutions through wireframes, prototypes and interaction designs before moving into detailed UI.
- Create polished, intuitive interfaces with strong attention to hierarchy, typography, spacing, consistency and interaction.
- Think through the complete experience; including empty states, errors, permissions, edge cases, responsive behaviour and different user states.
- Work closely with Product to understand the problem, challenge assumptions and determine the right experience before designing the solution.
- Collaborate directly with engineers throughout implementation, providing clear designs, specifications and interaction behaviour and resolving questions quickly.
- Review implemented experiences and work with Engineering and QA to ensure what ships reflects the intended experience and level of design quality.
- Maintain and evolve our product design system, including reusable components, interaction patterns, states and responsive behaviour.
- Apply Doerscircle’s established visual language consistently throughout the product, collaborating with Brand Design when new visual patterns or direction are required.
- Use product analytics, user feedback and usability testing to identify friction and continuously improve existing experiences.
- Design with business outcomes in mind, including activation, conversion, engagement and retention.
- Contribute ideas proactively while working against agreed product priorities and roadmap.
How Design Works at Doercircle Product Design and Brand Design work closely together, with distinct areas of ownership. As Product Designer, you own the experience of using our digital products, including user journeys, information architecture, interaction design, usability and product UI. Within our design system, Brand Design defines the visual foundations and overall creative language. Product Design translates those foundations into functional product components, patterns, behaviours and states. You’ll bring a strong visual sensibility and excellent design judgement, applying Doerscircle’s visual identity to create product experiences that feel polished, coherent and thoughtfully designed, while evolving the product experience in close collaboration with Brand Design. In simple terms: Brand Design defines how Doerscircle looks. Product Design makes sure the experience works beautifully.
What We're Looking For?
- Proven experience as a Product Designer, UI/UX Designer or similar role designing digital products.
- A strong portfolio of shipped product work. We want to understand the problem, constraints, decisions, iterations and outcomes and not just see polished screens.
- A strong visual design sensibility and an excellent eye for design, with a sharp understanding of layout, hierarchy, typography, spacing, consistency and interaction.
- Strong UX fundamentals and the ability to simplify complex workflows and information.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, Auto Layout and prototyping.
- Experience creating, maintaining or working extensively with design systems.
- Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design and usability.
- Experience designing responsive web products.
- Ability to think through interaction states, edge cases, permissions and different user scenarios.
- Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers from early exploration through implementation.
- Ability to explain the reasoning behind design decisions and challenge ideas constructively, while being equally comfortable receiving feedback and iterating on your own work.
- A good understanding of business and commercial outcomes, and the ability to balance user needs with business goals and technical constraints.
- Comfortable working iteratively and adapting as requirements and understanding evolve.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Good time management and the ability to deliver reliably against agreed priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with marketplaces, talent platforms, workforce products or other multi-sided platforms.
- Experience designing products serving both B2B and B2C users.
- Experience using product analytics or behavioural data to inform design decisions.
- Familiarity with Webflow or similar website-building tools.
- Experience creating marketing or brand collateral alongside core product design work.
Location
- Based anywhere in India.
- Fully remote, work-from-home.
