Procurement Executive / Senior Procurement Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement professional with strong expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, cost negotiation, and procurement operations. The candidate must have hands-on experience with SAP MM and a proven ability to ensure timely procurement of materials at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and optimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, and purchase order processing.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions with vendors.
• Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, and develop comparative statements for supplier selection.
• Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders using SAP MM.
• Monitor open purchase orders, material availability, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Finance, and other departments to meet material requirements.
• Maintain vendor records, procurement documentation, and supplier performance reports.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement procurement process improvements.
• Monitor inventory levels and support procurement planning to avoid stockouts and excess inventory.
• Resolve supplier-related issues concerning quality, delivery, pricing, and documentation.

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on working experience in SAP MM (Materials Management).
• Strong knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes.
• Expertise in vendor development, supplier management, and commercial negotiations.
• Experience in RFQ processing, quotation analysis, and purchase order management.
• Knowledge of inventory control, material planning, and procurement documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement reporting.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

• 58 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchase operations.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Practical SAP MM experience in purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement reporting is mandatory.
