Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, machinery, spare parts, consumables, and packaging materials. The role requires regular interaction with suppliers and the production/maintenance teams. The candidate should have good technical knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to independently manage procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase raw materials, machinery, spare parts, consumables, and packaging materials.
- Identify and develop reliable suppliers.
- Experience of working at Indiamart and Trade India.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate commercial terms.
- Understand technical specifications of machinery and spare parts.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Stores teams.
- Follow up with suppliers for quality and timely delivery.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: B.Tech, B.E., Diploma, B.Sc., or equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial procurement, preferably in mineral processing, mining, manufacturing, cement, steel, or heavy industry.
- Good knowledge of mechanical/electrical machinery and industrial spare parts.
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
- Good communication and MS Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a manufacturing environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: 20,000 - 40,000 per month (Net Salary)
- Performance Bonus: Additional a very good incentives based on procurement performance.
- Accommodation: Basic, free accommodation (room) provided at the factory site.
