Job Summary
We are looking for a Procurement Engineer to manage end-to-end procurement, vendor development, quotation evaluation, negotiation and timely material delivery for project and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle PR to PO and end-to-end purchase activities.
- Source and develop vendors for electrical, engineering and general materials.
- Float RFQs, evaluate quotations and prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate price, payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Procure electrical items, cables, panels, switchgear, transformers, tools, spares, PPE, engineering consumables and general materials.
- Support procurement of solar/renewable-energy materials and project-related equipment.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Stores, Finance and Operations teams.
- Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and resolve supply-related issues.
- Maintain vendor, PO and procurement records.
- Ensure procurement meets required quality, technical specifications, cost and delivery timelines.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in Procurement / Purchase / Vendor Management.
- Electrical procurement experience preferred.
- Candidates from Electrical, Manufacturing, EPC, Engineering, Infrastructure or Renewable Energy industries can be considered.
- Good negotiation, vendor management and communication skills.
- MS Excel/ERP knowledge required; SAP knowledge will be an advantage.
