Procurement Buyer - Interior Exterior commodity

Role & responsibilities -

• Identifying suppliers for sourcing of Plastic parts & Exterior commodity (Direct Material)
• Knowledge of soft trim parts (Head liner, Carpets, felts, foam etc)
• Ensuring delivery of parts from suppliers and supporting supply chain in cases of delivery issues.
• Conducting supplier assessments along-with cross functional teams.
• Carrying out the sourcing process including RFQ, Technical review, Negotiation, PO release for production
• Working closely with suppliers for developing parts & production capacity in line with program timing.
• Working on cost optimization activities to reduce costs / Localization.
• Supporting quality improvement initiatives to achieve zero ppm and field quality

Educational Qualifications -

• BE/ B.Tech Must (Mechanical/Automobile preferred), MBA (optional) 7-10 years of experience in Purchase function preferably in Plastic commodity with automobile OEMs

Competencies -

• Have good leadership skills and competent in techno-commercial buying
• Should have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment. Ability to multi-task and achieve targets
