Job Summary


Responsibilities

Procurement of Raw Materials

• Procure all kind food-grade raw materials, including food additives, ingredients, starches, preservatives, emulsifiers, sweeteners, acids, and other production materials.
• Source industrial chemicals and specialty chemicals required for the Meron division.
• Ensure uninterrupted availability of materials to support production schedules.

Packaging Material Procurement

• Purchase all types of packaging materials, including:
• • Stand-up pouches
  • Center seal pouches
  • BOPP pouches
  • Silver pouches
  • Kraft bags
  • Cartons
  • Duplex boxes
  • HDPE containers
  • LD/PP covers
  • Labels
  • Shrink pouches
  • Drums and other packaging materials
  • General Procurement
• Procure laboratory chemicals, laboratory accessories, and production machinery.
• Purchase electrical, mechanical, and factory maintenance items.
• Handle procurement of stationery, office supplies, calendars, diaries, envelopes, and related materials.
• Purchase marketing materials, brochures, catalogues, signage, vehicle branding items, visiting cards, ID cards, T-shirts, carry bags, and promotional items.
• Support procurement requirements for NPD (New Product Development), B2B, B2C, export, and exhibition activities.

Vendor Management

• Identify and develop new suppliers.
• Obtain competitive quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service.
• Maintain healthy business relationships with existing vendors.

Purchase Order Management

• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders accurately.
• Track order status until material receipt.
• Ensure timely delivery to avoid production interruptions.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding order confirmation, dispatch, and documentation.

Cost Management

• Analyse quotations and compare prices.
• Calculate and verify landed cost of domestic materials.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through effective sourcing and negotiation.
• Monitor market price fluctuations and recommend alternate sourcing where appropriate.

Coordination

• Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, RD, Stores, Finance, Marketing, and Sales departments regarding procurement requirements.
• Support NPD trials by arranging required materials within the specified timeline.
• Coordinate with logistics partners for shipment and delivery.

Documentation Compliance

• Maintain complete procurement records and supplier documentation.
• Ensure all purchase transactions comply with company policies.
• Follow up on invoices and coordinate with Finance for payment processing.
• Maintain supplier agreements, quotations, certificates, and statutory documents.

Inventory Support

• Monitor inventory levels.
• Avoid stock-outs as well as excess inventory.
• Coordinate with Stores for inward material verification and stock reconciliation.
