Process System Engineer/Data Scientist

Hexxcell is seeking to fill a full-time position for a talented Process Systems Engineer/Data Scientist to join our growing and talented team in Balgalore, India. You will be working in cutting-edge digitalisation projects with Blue Chip companies to solve crucial problems involving the analysis of terabytes of industrial data, supporting them in the Industry 4.0 revolution to a greener and digital future. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with colleagues and clients to develop, apply and deploy advanced mathematical models of industrial processes that drive significant energy efficiency and environmental benefits.

Responsibilities

• Develop first principles and statistical models for the analysis of industrial plant data, particularly to heat exchanger network and distillation systems
• Devise data-driven operational improvement strategies using proprietary technology and algorithms
• Participate in the development of Hexxcell's software technology
• Create and deliver reports, technical papers and presentation materials

Required Qualifications/Skills

• Doctorate degree (PhD) in Process Systems or Chemical Engineering
• Experience in developing first-principles dynamic models
• Experience with Machine Learning
• Three years experience of Python programming
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• International travel to attend technical meetings may be required

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of relevant work experience
• Fundamental understanding of heat transfer and heat transfer systems
• Experience in heat exchanger design
• Fundamental understanding of distillation systems
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and engineering software
