Senior Data Engineer [PM] Snowflake

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design and implement scalable Snowflake data platforms and reliable ELT/ETL pipelines using SQL, Python, and modern transformation tools.
2. Build analytical data models, data marts, and reusable datasets to support BI, analytics, data science, and business applications.
3. Implement data-engineering patterns such as CDC, incremental processing, deduplication, SCD Type 1/2, and schema evolution.
4. Design and optimize Snowflake workloads for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
5. Use appropriate Snowflake capabilities such as Dynamic Tables, Streams/Tasks, Snowpipe, or Snowpark based on the use case.
6. Develop reusable transformation frameworks and support CI/CD and automated deployment processes.
7. Collaborate with analytics, BI, data science, application, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
8. Mentor intermediate engineers and provide technical guidance on data-engineering practices and platform capabilities.

Must Have Skills

Programming & Data Engineering

1. Strong SQL expertise and practical Python experience.

2. Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.

3. Experience designing and developing scalable ELT/ETL pipelines.

4. Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehouses, and analytical data structures.

5. Experience implementing CDC, incremental processing, deduplication, and SCD Type 1/2 patterns.

6. Understanding of data governance, security, RBAC, and data access management.

7. Experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.Engineering Practices
Strong Git/version-control experience.

8. Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment practices.

9. Strong understanding of data quality, testing, monitoring, and production support.

10. Experience with Snowflake performance optimization, including query tuning and workload management

Snowflake
1. Experience with one or more Snowflake pipeline capabilities such as Dynamic Tables, Streams/Tasks, Snowpipe/Snowpipe Streaming, or Snowpark.
2. Experience with dbt or a similar transformation framework.

Good To Have Skills

1. Advanced experience with Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Streams/Tasks, Snowpipe, or Snowpipe Streaming.

2. Experience with Apache Iceberg and modern open-table architectures.

3. Experience with Kafka or other event-streaming technologies.

4. Experience with Airflow, dbt Core/Cloud, Terraform, or other modern data-engineering tools.
AI / GenAI

5. Experience using Snowflake Cortex or equivalent AI capabilities.

6. Experience building data pipelines supporting ML/GenAI applications.

Exposure to AI-enabled data platforms and enterprise AI workloads.
