Process Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Process Engineer to support and optimize manufacturing processes at our API manufacturing plant. The role will be responsible for process improvement, troubleshooting, scale-up, and ensuring safe, efficient and compliant plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and optimize API manufacturing processes to improve productivity, yield and quality.
• Handle process troubleshooting and identify root causes of process deviations.
• Develop and implement process improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
• Support scale-up, process validation and technology transfer activities.
• Prepare and review process-related documents, SOPs, batch records and process reports.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Engineering and R&D teams for smooth process execution.
• Ensure processes comply with cGMP, EHS and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Analyze process data and identify opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing process losses.
• Support plant trials, new product introduction and process modifications.
• Provide technical support to the production team for day-to-day process-related issues.

Candidate Profile:

• B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering.
• 5-6 years of relevant experience in API/pharmaceutical chemical manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, reaction chemistry and process optimization.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and process improvement at plant scale.
• Good knowledge of cGMP, process safety and EHS practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
