Position: Process Development Chemist – Ethanolamines / Specialty Chemicals

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra

Experience: 3–8 years in chemical synthesis/process development

Qualification: M.Sc. Chemistry / B.Tech Chemical Engineering / relevant chemistry or chemical-process qualification

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize chemical synthesis processes for ethanolamines and specialty chemicals.
• Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale experiments and support scale-up to production.
• Optimize reaction conditions, yield, selectivity and product quality.
• Work with reactors, purification and distillation processes.
• Investigate process deviations and troubleshoot production batches.
• Develop and maintain process parameters, SOPs and batch manufacturing documentation.
• Coordinate with Production, QC and R&D teams.
• Support new product development and process improvement.
• Ensure safe handling of chemicals and compliance with applicable EHS requirements.

Preferred Experience:

• Ethanolamines / amine chemistry
• Organic or industrial chemical synthesis
• Batch reactor operations
• Distillation and purification
• Process scale-up
• Specialty chemicals
• Process troubleshooting
• Analytical techniques and interpretation

Important: Candidates with strong chemical synthesis/process-development experience in related specialty chemicals will also be considered, even if they do not have direct triethanolamine manufacturing experience.
