Pro Vice Chancellor - One of the University based at Dehradun

The Pro Vice-Chancellor is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the academic strategy, quality assurance, and development initiatives of the university.

The position works collaboratively with the Vice-Chancellor, deans, faculty, and other stakeholders to ensure academic excellence and alignment with the institution's mission, vision, and goals

Key Responsibilities

-Academic Leadership

• Develop and implement the university's academic strategy, ensuring it aligns with global standards and industry trends.
• Oversee curriculum design, academic programs, and course offerings to ensure innovation, relevance, and quality.

-Quality Assurance

• Ensure adherence to accreditation standards and compliance with regulatory bodies.
• Monitor and enhance teaching and learning methodologies, incorporating advanced pedagogical approaches and technologies.

-Faculty Development

• Recruit, mentor, and retain high-quality faculty to build a robust academic team.
• Develop and implement faculty development programs to enhance teaching, research, and leadership capabilities.

-Strategic Planning and Collaboration

• Collaborate with the Vice-Chancellor and other university leaders to shape the institution's strategic direction.
• Build partnerships with academic institutions, industries, and research organizations for collaborative opportunities.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 15 years of academic experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as Dean, Director, or equivalent.
• Proven track record in academic administration, curriculum development, and quality assurance.
