Private Markets - Property Accounting & Reporting Professional

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional with experience in Property Accounting, Treasury Operations, Fund Accounting, and Financial Reporting. The role will be responsible for cash management, investor compliance, fund accounting, tax reporting, US GAAP financial statement preparation, sources and uses analysis, management fee and waterfall calculations, and performance reporting. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of real estate investment structures, fund accounting, regulatory requirements, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end property accounting, including review of Trial Balance (TB), General Ledger (GL), journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
• Monitor cash inflows and outflows, perform bank account reconciliations, and maintain effective cash controls.
• Prepare and review Sources & Uses statements for acquisitions, developments, refinancing, and disposition transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Assist with year-end audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain investor compliance records and support periodic KYC/AML reviews and refresh activities.
• Calculate and review management fees, preferred return accruals, carried interest allocations, and distribution waterfall calculations in accordance with fund governing documents and investor agreements.
• Calculate and validate GIPS-compliant performance metrics, including IRR and Time-Weighted Returns (TWR), and prepare investor performance reports.
• Support fund performance measurement, benchmarking activities, and portfolio analytics.
• Assist in the preparation of investor communications, capital account statements, and periodic reporting packages.
• Support tax reporting, investor reporting, and other fund administration activities as required.
