Role & responsibilities Position Overview

The Assistant Printing Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end operations of the printing department, ensuring adherence to quality standards, optimizing production efficiency, and leading a team of skilled professionals. This position requires expertise in flexo and label printing technologies and a proven ability to manage large teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Team Management:

• Supervise and lead a team of approximately 20 printing professionals.
• Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to enhance team productivity and morale.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

2. Production Oversight:

• Plan and execute daily printing schedules to meet production targets.
• Monitor resource utilization to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols within the department.

3. Technical Expertise:

• Oversee the operation of flexo and label printing machinery, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Implement best practices and stay updated with industry trends to improve processes.

4. Quality Assurance:

• Develop and enforce quality control standards to ensure printed materials meet company specifications.
• Regularly review production output to identify and address discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to align operations with quality benchmarks.

5. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and production planning teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Participate in meetings to align departmental objectives with overall business goals.

6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Track and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) for the printing department.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on production performance, challenges, and improvement strategies for senior management.

7. Training and Development:

• Identify skill gaps within the team and organize relevant training programs.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 610 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the printing industry.
• Hands-on expertise in flexo and label printing operations is mandatory.
