Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary School Principal to lead Aga Khan School, Chitravad. The ideal candidate will bring strong academic leadership, operational management skills, and a deep commitment to child-centered education.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

• Ensure high academic standards and student achievement.
• Lead curriculum planning and instructional strategies aligned with AKESI’s philosophy.
• Supervise teaching methods, lesson plans, and classroom delivery.
• Drive assessment systems (formative & summative) and data-driven decision-making.
• Encourage teacher professional development and continuous learning.
  

Administration & Operations

• Oversee day-to-day operations, school budget, and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (Education Department & Board norms).
• Supervise administrative, finance, maintenance, and support functions.
• Maintain records, safety standards, and reporting systems.
  

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and community members.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, respect, and open communication.
• Represent the school in local networks and community forums.
  

Safety & Welfare

• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for students and staff.
• Implement child protection and emergency response procedures.
  

Candidate Profile

Qualification:

• Postgraduate degree in any discipline with B.Ed (mandatory).
  

Experience:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of leadership experience as Principal or Head in a K–12 school.
• Strong understanding of school operations, curriculum delivery, and academic planning.
• Familiarity with State Board norms and statutory compliance requirements.
