Job Summary

Job title - Principal, Services Quotation Application Analyst Exp - 10-12 yrs Location - Bangalore. Job Purpose The Service Quotation Application Analyst acts as the key link between business stakeholders and digital delivery teams, translating business needs into scalable Quotation solutions. The role focuses on requirement definition, solution design support, backlog grooming, testing, and adoption-ensuring Quotations (and related platforms such as Configurator, Salesforce and ERP integrations) effectively support end-to-end business processes. This role is critical in large-scale transformation programs, continuous improvement releases, and global rollouts across Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements across configuration processes (Services, Contracts, Installed Base, Opportunity Management).
• Translate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure requirements are clearly understood by delivery teams and aligned with global templates and reference models.
• Maintain traceability between business requirements and delivered functionality.
• Act as the functional expert for Quotations and adjacent platforms (ServiceMax, Configurator, integrations with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle).
• Collaborate with Architects and Solution Leads to define end-to-end solution designs.
• Validate solution options against business needs, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
• Contribute to design reviews and ensure adherence to Quotations and enterprise best practices.
• Work closely with Product Owners to groom and prioritize the Quotations backlog.
• Support sprint planning by clarifying scope, dependencies, and functional details.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
• Ensure delivered features meet acceptance criteria and business expectations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders on Quotation topics.
• Facilitate workshops, deep dives, and solution walkthroughs.
• Communicate clearly on scope, impacts, risks, and dependencies.
• Support change management and user adoption through training materials and documentation.

Requirements

Functional Technical Skills

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst in Quotation environments.
• Solid understanding of Quotation core functions and data model.
• Experience with integrations between Quotations and ERP / Configurator / Field Service platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery models and tools (JIRA, Confluence).

Business Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven stakeholder management in global, cross-functional environments.
• Structured, detail-oriented, and quality-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis roles, with significant Quotations exposure.
• Experience in large-scale digital transformation or global template programs is a strong plus.
