Job Location: Bangalore, India About TSI Tsavorite Scalable Intelligence is a semiconductor IC design company developing next-generation AI/ML inference chiplets. We operate a mixed on-premises and AWS-based infrastructure supporting engineering, EDA, and HPC workloads across US and India offices. About the Role This is a hands-on technical role for an experienced Linux Systems Administrator who will own day-to-day administration of our Linux fleet on AWS and on-premises lab hardware, manage our Slurm/AWS ParallelCluster HPC environment, and serve as a trusted resource for engineers and staff across multiple platforms and time zones. You will work closely with the infrastructure lead to automate, scale, and improve our compute environment as the company grows. Responsibilities Linux & Infrastructure Administration
- Administer Rocky Linux 8 and Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 systems on-premises and in AWS
- Build and maintain system images using Packer; manage configuration with Ansible
- Manage FreeIPA identity management including users, groups, SUDO, and HBAC policies
- Monitor, patch, and maintain OS security and package lifecycles
- Assist others with deployment and management of containerized workloads with Podman and Docker
- Administer NFS storage: on-premises TrueNAS and AWS FSx for ONTAP
- Manage disk quotas and user filesystem limits
- Write and maintain automation scripts in Bash and Python AWS & Cloud Infrastructure
- Provision and manage AWS resources: EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, FSx, and related services
- Deploy and maintain AWS ParallelCluster and Slurm for HPC job scheduling
- Manage multi-region AWS infrastructure across US and India regions
- Implement and enforce IAM policies, security groups, and least-privilege access controls
- Optimize compute costs through reserved instances, spot usage, and right-sizing
- Manage CloudFormation stacks and ParallelCluster lifecycle operations
- Build and maintain Packer AMIs for DCV workstations, compute workstations, cluster head nodes and compute fleets.
- Manage Amazon DCV servers and DCV Sessions Manager Networking
- Administer pfSense firewalls, IPsec VPN tunnels, and network segmentation
- Manage VPN solutions including OpenVPN and Tailscale for remote user access
- Configure and troubleshoot 10G and 1G LAN environments
- Manage DNS, DHCP, and split-DNS configurations across sites
- Troubleshoot connectivity across hybrid on-premises and AWS environments HPC / Slurm Administration
- Manage AWS ParallelCluster deployments including cluster creation, updates, and blue-green upgrade strategies for zero-downtime maintenance
- Configure and maintain Slurm partitions, QOS policies, fair-share scheduling, and per-user job limits
- Diagnose and resolve compute node failures, prolog issues, and CloudFormation lifecycle events
- Monitor cluster utilization and capacity plan in coordination with engineering leads
- Administer EDA and HPC software stacks including FlexLM license server management User Onboarding & Support
- Onboard new users in FreeIPA, AWS, and NICE DCV workstation environments
- Create and maintain documentation for cluster usage, best practices, and self-service procedures
- Train engineers on effective use of Slurm, AWS compute resources, and storage quotas
- Provide support to Windows and macOS users accessing Linux-based infrastructure
- Troubleshoot VPN, SSH, NFS mount, and DCV remote desktop session issues across client platforms
- Respond to support requests across US and India time zones Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of Linux system administration in production environments (RHEL/Rocky or Ubuntu)
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, FSx)
- Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting and automation
- Experience with Ansible or equivalent configuration management tooling
- Experience with either Slurm or LSF job scheduling and HPC cluster administration; we are Slurm based.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, and firewall management
- Experience with VPN technologies (OpenVPN, Tailscale/WireGuard, or IPsec)
- LDAP/FreeIPA or Active Directory identity management and PAM integration
- NFS/SMB administration and storage performance tuning
- Familiarity with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
- Ability to support and communicate clearly with Windows and macOS end users
- Comfortable working across US and India time zones Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NICE DCV or similar remote desktop environments
- AWS ParallelCluster or equivalent HPC-on-cloud platform experience to deploy Slurm
- Podman and/or Docker container administration
- Packer for AMI or OS image builds
- FlexLM or other EDA license server management
- EDA tool environment administration (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens/Mentor)
- Experience in semiconductor, ASIC, or hardware design company environments
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification or equivalent
- pfSense or OPNsense firewall administration
- Grafana, Prometheus, or similar monitoring stack experience What We Offer
