Principal iOS Engineer

Requirements:

• Relevant depth: 8+ years developing iOS applications in Swift, with evidence of principal-level technical ownership on large-scale products.
• SDK and framework expertise: A strong track record building native SDKs or frameworks used by external developers or multiple production applications.
• Architecture fundamentals: Deep understanding of iOS internals, software design patterns, modular architecture, concurrency, lifecycle management, and dependency design.
• Release engineering: Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated delivery, semantic versioning, observability, and dependable release processes.
• Quality mindset: Strong unit and integration testing practices, attention to maintainability, and an obsessive commitment to reliable software.
• Identity and privacy: Experience with digital identity, PII, mobile security, privacy-sensitive data flows, or comparable regulated product environments.
• Cross-functional leadership: Business-driven, outcome-oriented communication; able to gather requirements, resolve customer issues, and influence distributed teams.
• Platform awareness: Working knowledge of Android fundamentals and architecture, with the ability to reason across mobile platforms.
• Open source: Meaningful contributions to mobile, SDK, tooling, or developer-platform projects.
• Delivery tooling: Ruby and Fastlane experience for repeatable build, signing, testing, and release automation.
• Cross-platform: Experience integrating or supporting React Native, Flutter, Cordova, or similar ecosystems.
• ML/CV on mobile: Experience collaborating on camera, document capture, face analysis, Core ML, or on-device inference features.
