Principal Engineer - Project Engineering, Linux IoT

Role Summary:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale Linux IoT projects across the complete product lifecycle.
• Drive software execution for new SoCs from pre-silicon to commercialization.
• Collaborate with engineering, product marketing, business, and customer engineering teams.
• Define solutions across system architecture, Linux kernel, device drivers, and embedded software stacks.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and drive them to closure.
• Contribute across areas such as Multimedia, Core Platform, Ethernet, and Power/Performance.

Required Skills

• Strong embedded Linux development experience using Yocto, Ubuntu, Debian, or Red Hat.
• Hands-on expertise in C/C++, Linux kernel, device drivers, and SoC bring-up.
• Experience with Android/Linux frameworks and end-to-end software stacks.
• Understanding of systemd, SELinux, containers, Docker, sandboxing, and Snaps.
• Knowledge of multimedia subsystems such as Camera, Video, Audio, Display, or Graphics.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, debugging, and full software product development.
• Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
