Principal Engineer

Requirements:

• 8+ years of hands-on architecture, not counting years spent primarily in delivery management or people management. You've designed systems, shipped them to production, watched them break, and iterated.
• Deep retail domain expertise: you've worked on one or more of the core enterprise retail systems below, past the level of configuration or customisation. You understand the internals.
• End-to-end ownership: you've taken at least one system from architectural design through production and post-launch iteration. Not just scoped or blueprinted.
• Individual contributor identity: you are currently, or have recently been, working as a Principal / Distinguished / Chief Engineer. This is a builder role.
• Distributed systems fundamentals: you have practical knowledge of event-driven architecture, eventual consistency, and saga/orchestration patterns as applied to retail order management or inventory. You've used these as design tools, not just cited them.

Platform Depth:

We're looking for credible, hands-on architectural depth in at least two of the five pillars below.

• Depth across three or more is a strong signal.
• OMS / ORDER ORCHESTRATION: Manhattan Active Omni, IBM Sterling OMS, Blue Yonder Order Management multi-node order promising, order lifecycle orchestration, split-shipment handling.
• MERCHANDISING and PLANNING: SAP S/4HANA Retail / CAR, Oracle RMS, Blue Yonder Planning / Allocation / Replenishment / Luminate allocation engines, size/colour matrix constraints, demand planning data models.
• WMS / FULFILLMENT: Manhattan WMS, Blue Yonder Warehouse Management, Oracle WMS Cloud slotting, wave planning, fulfilment execution, OMS integration boundaries.
• POS / COMMERCE: Oracle Xstore, Microsoft D365 Commerce, Adobe Commerce / Magento (SFRA, OCAPI), Salesforce Commerce Cloud checkout architecture, price rule evaluation, inventory reservation, cart state.
• E-COMMERCE PLATFORM INTERNALS: Flipkart, Myntra, Reliance JioMart, Meesho, or comparable Indian marketplace / retail platform catalogue, pricing, inventory, and fulfilment services at high-concurrency scale.
