Principal Engineer - Software (R&D)

JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB

As a Principal Engineer Software, this position Will be placed as hands-on engineer in Mobile (R&D) team. Responsible for application quality, architecture, design principles, stakeholder updates, releases, development leadership and mentoring.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS

• Hands-on engineer for Android/iOS development.
• Lead architecture, design, code quality, releases, and technical mentoring.
• Drive scrum planning, story verification, automation strategy, and regression quality.
• Coordinate engineering tasks with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Perform code reviews and enforce development best practices.
• Make key technical decisions and take ownership for delivery.
• Support CI, test automation, and continuous quality improvements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements

• Education - BE/BTech/MCA from premier reputed institutions.
• Experience - 12+ years experience with related job.

Knowledge / Technical Requirements

• Android & iOS Development
• Kotlin and Swift
• Clean/MVVM Architecture
• HTTP, REST APIs, Cloud, Firebase
• OOPS, OOAD, Algorithms, Data Structures
• Git, Agile,TDD, BDD
• Experience leading teams and stakeholder reporting!

Competencies, Skills & Abilities

• Microsoft MCSE
• Good interpersonal skills
• Project management and time management skills
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English and Hindi.

WORK CONTEXT

Working Hours

• Minimum 40 hours weekly, evening calls with US team, minimum 50% work from office.
