Key Responsibilities and Role

• Administrative Head: Oversees day-to-day college administration, staff recruitment standards, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Academic Leader: Directs medical curriculum delivery, training programs, and student discipline.
• College Council Chair: Leads the College Council (comprising all departmental heads), which must meet at least four times a year to review academic and research activities.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensures the institution meets all NMC minimum standard requirements for teaching faculty, clinical material, and hospital facilities.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Degree: Must hold a recognized postgraduate medical degree (such as MD, MS.
• Teaching Experience: Minimum of 10 years of total teaching experience as a Professor or Associate Professor in a medical college.
• Professor Requirement: At least 5 of those years must be served specifically as a Professor in a department.
