Primary Years - Teacher Assistant

Job Description: Teacher Assistant Grades 1 & 2 (IB PYP)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in daily teaching and learning activities.
• Support students in literacy, numeracy, and inquiry-based learning.
• Provide individual and small-group learning support.
• Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Support student well-being, positive behaviour, and independence.
• Follow IB PYP principles and child safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate degree with B.Ed., D.El.Ed., NTT, or Montessori qualification preferred.
• Prior experience in a primary school or IB PYP environment is an advantage.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom support skills.
• A passion for working with young learners.
