Primary English Teacher

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for primary school students.
• Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary skills.
• Use stories, activities, games, role plays, worksheets, and interactive teaching methods.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, and assessments.
• Monitor students' academic progress and provide individual support where required.
• Encourage students to participate in classroom discussions and activities.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and build positive relationships with students.
• Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Communicate with parents regarding students' progress and areas of improvement.
• Participate in school events, activities, celebrations, and other academic initiatives.
• Maintain student records and complete academic documentation as required.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and coordinators for effective curriculum delivery.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in English or a relevant field.
• B.Ed. is preferred/required as per school norms.
• 25 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching primary grades.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Experience with CBSE or a similar curriculum will be an advantage.
• Good classroom management and student-handling skills.
• Creative, energetic, patient, and passionate about working with young learners.
