Job Description Pricing Executive Freight Forwarding

1. Handle daily freight pricing enquiries, with a strong focus on EXW shipments and spot-rate requests.
2. Obtain competitive spot rates from airlines, agents, transporters and other service providers, negotiating wherever possible to secure the best buying cost.
3. Prepare and submit accurate and competitive quotations within the required turnaround time, ensuring all origin, freight, handling, collection and other applicable charges are included.
4. Evaluate different airlines, routings, transit times and service options to provide customers with the most commercially suitable solution.
5. Maintain strong follow-up on all quotations and proactively work towards achieving a high enquiry-to-booking conversion rate.
6. Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to understand customer requirements and ensure confirmed shipments are handed over smoothly.
7. Monitor lost quotations, understand the reasons for non-conversion and look for opportunities to recover business through better pricing, routing or service options.
8. Maintain good relationships with airlines, overseas agents and suppliers to improve rate competitiveness, capacity access and service levels.
9. Ensure all pricing is commercially viable, balancing competitive selling rates with the required profit margin.

To maximize profitable business conversion by providing fast, accurate and competitive freight quotations, particularly for EXW and spot-rate shipments, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and achieving a consistently high quotation to booking conversion rate.
