Presales System Engineer

Job Summary : The Presales Engineer is responsible for configuring and specifying technical solutions across servers, storage, networking, and GPU/AI infrastructure to support the sales team in responding to customer RFQs and RFPs. This role involves preparing accurate technical configurations, benchmarking against competitor solutions, coordinating with vendors and distributors on pricing and availability, and delivering urgent, high-quality quotations within tight turnaround times.

Job Roles and Responsibilities • Configure technical solutions and prepare BOQs/BOMs for servers, storage, and workstation requirements based on customer specifications • Recommend and validate storage architectures (SATA/SAS/NVMe, RAID 0/1/5/10) based on capacity, performance, and cost requirements • Size CPU, memory, and GPU configurations for server, AI/HPC, and custom workstation use cases • Respond to urgent internal RFQs with same-day or next-day technical quotations, including revisions as customer requirements evolve • Benchmark and counter competitor proposals with technically equivalent alternatives from MBUZZ's supported brands • Liaise with product managers and distributors to confirm component pricing, availability, and lead times, especially during supply constraints • Support RFP responses for institutional and enterprise projects, including phased implementation roadmaps and multiple configuration options • Coordinate with Sales, Product Management, and Labs/Assembly teams to ensure quotes are commercially and technically sound before submission Certifications • Vendor certifications from Supermicro, NVIDIA, ASUS, Dell, or HPE

Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) • Vendor certifications (Supermicro, NVIDIA, ASUS, Dell, HPE) preferred

Experience • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure presales, systems engineering, or solution architecture, with strong knowledge of systems, networking, and computer storage technologies

Authority • Technical authority to configure, specify, and recommend solutions; no contractual signing authority • Financial authority: N/A – no budget or discount approval authority • Authorized to propose technically equivalent alternate components when exact specifications are unavailable, subject to Presales Lead approval

Quality & Compliance Responsibilities • Ensure all duties are performed in strict adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards, organizational quality policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. • Support continual improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS).
