Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct physical site surveys and feasibility studies at customer sites, including line-of-sight assessment, path profiling, spectrum/interference checks and gathering the data needed for reliable link design.
- Perform radio and path planning using path-loss / RF planning software (e.g. Pathloss, LINKPlanner or vendor planning tools) and produce professional radio planning reports with link budgets, availability/throughput predictions and recommended configurations.
- Design wireless networks across our full range: outdoor Wi-Fi, unlicensed PTP and PTMP in the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, licensed microwave from 6 GHz to 38 GHz, and E-band millimeter-wave at 60 GHz and 80 GHz, and support their implementation and troubleshooting.
- Lead pre-sales and techno-commercial support for the wireless portfolio, from opportunity qualification through technical and commercial closure.
- Work closely with Sales/BD to understand customer requirements, shape opportunities and develop solutions that are technically compliant, competitive and commercially viable.
- Own solution design, architecture, link planning, BOQs, drawings and technical documentation for RFQs, RFPs, RFIs and tenders.
- Prepare and review techno-commercial wireless proposals, including solution configuration, costing, pricing inputs, margins, commercial assumptions, exclusions and compliance statements in coordination with Sales and management.
- Engage vendors and partners (Proxim, SAF Tehnika, BridgeWave and others) for solution validation, pricing, special discounts, lead times, technical clarifications and commercial support.
- Participate in customer and consultant meetings, site surveys and technical/commercial discussions; present solutions, address clarifications and support negotiations through order closure.
- Evaluate alternative designs and products to optimize performance, cost and profitability while ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- Lead product presentations, workshops, demonstrations, POCs (including live link demos/field testing) and technical training for customers and internal teams.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the company's wireless networking portfolio and advise on applications, integration, deployment and best practices.
- Review major proposals and designs for technical accuracy, commercial completeness, risk, scope gaps and delivery dependencies before submission.
- Maintain visibility of the wireless opportunity pipeline and coordinate with Sales/BD on priorities, proposal status, technical actions and closure support.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, consultants, customers and technical stakeholders to support specifications, approvals and business growth.
- Support development of case studies, application notes, white papers and other technical sales collateral.
- Ensure pre-sales activities, proposals, POCs and actions are properly recorded in CRM/ticketing systems and followed through to completion.
- Ensure compliance with Company quality policies, approved processes and relevant project/technical standards.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Hands-on ability to perform physical site surveys and feasibility studies, and to produce radio planning reports using path-loss / RF planning software. This is a core requirement.
- Practical design and deployment experience across unlicensed PTP/PTMP (5/6 GHz), outdoor Wi-Fi, licensed microwave (6–38 GHz) and E-band millimeter wave (60/80 GHz).
- Hands-on experience with our brands (Proxim, SAF Tehnika, BridgeWave) or directly competing brands (e.g. Cambium, Aviat, Radwin, Infinet, Redline, LigoWave, Ceragon) is a strong advantage.
- Strong techno-commercial understanding, balancing technical compliance, customer requirements, cost, margin and competitive positioning.
