Pre Primary Teacher

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and conduct engaging activities for nursery, LKG, and UKG students.
• Teach basic concepts such as alphabets, numbers, shapes, colours, and phonics.
• Develop children's communication, social, emotional, and motor skills.
• Use storytelling, rhymes, music, games, and hands-on activities to make learning enjoyable.
• Create age-appropriate lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching aids.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and child-friendly classroom environment.
• Monitor children's progress and provide individual attention as needed.
• Encourage creativity, curiosity, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Communicate with parents regarding children's development and progress.
• Follow the school's curriculum, academic guidelines, and safety policies

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate in any relevant discipline.
• ECCEd, NTT, Montessori training, or an equivalent early childhood education qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
• Prior experience in pre-primary teaching preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine interest in working with young children.
• Good classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Willingness to work a six-day week.
