Nursery Teacher Job Description

Position: Nursery Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct engaging activities for nursery-level children.
• Create a safe, positive, and child-friendly classroom environment.
• Teach basic concepts such as alphabets, numbers, colours, shapes, rhymes, and general awareness.
• Use play-based, creative, and interactive teaching methods.
• Monitor and assess children’s learning, development, and behaviour.
• Encourage social, emotional, and communication skills among children.
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure the safety and well-being of students.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child’s progress and development.
• Participate in school events, activities, celebrations, and other academic initiatives.
• Maintain necessary classroom records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with NTT / Montessori / ECCE or relevant teaching qualification preferred.
• Prior experience in nursery/pre-primary teaching is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for working with young children.
• Creative, patient, caring, and energetic approach.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively.
